 Hooke Laboratories commits to a major expansion of its research and development space in Heritage Place, 439 S. Union Street, Lawrence

LAWRENCE, MA, Dec 2017 – Ozzy Properties, a premier property manager in the Merrimack Valley region, announces a major lease expansion with its tenant, Hooke Laboratories increasing their space threefold to just over 30,000 square feet.  The most significant expansion will be in lab space for research and development.

Hooke was founded by immunologist Suzana Marusic, MD, PhD in 2007. The company has two lines of business –  a pre-clinical CRO specializing in rodent models of inflammation and autoimmune diseases, and a product business offers antigens, tissues, and reagents to researchers worldwide. Their customers include leading international pharmas, venture-funded biotechs, universities, foundations, and commercial scientists.

 “Our new expansion space will allow us to more effectively serve our existing customers as well as new forecasted business,” said Suzana Marusic, President and CEO of Hooke Laboratories.  “We are planning expanded laboratory, manufacturing, and office space.”

Hooke plans to hire 10 to 15 additional staff in 2018, including laboratory technicians, senior management positions, and scientists in the fields of immunology and in-vivo pharmacology.
